5 Ways to Experience the Mandala
We are pleased to offer a variety of ways to experience the Guhyasamāja Mandala. All events are held at our Center. Parking is available behind the Center entered from North 7th Street. Registration is required for most events.
The Mandala Up Close
October 30 - November 23, 2022
(Closed Thursday November 17)
12 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Ven. Lama Losang Samten will work daily from Sunday-Saturday from 12:00-4:30pm (except Thursday November 17). All are invited to observe in-person how the mandala is created each day. The work is a meditation. However, during breaks he enjoys and encourages questions and dialogue. No registration is required; see exclusions below.
Suggested donations:
Single Visit: Non-Member = $10, Student = $5, CTBC Member & Children FREE
Mandala Card: Provides access to all in-person events (except Nov. 12, 19, 26 and 27):
Non-Member = $30, Student = $15, CTBC Member & Children FREE
The Mandala on Zoom
October 31 - November 23, 2022
Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays
2 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
The mandala will be streamed live via Zoom on Monday, Wednesday and Friday on the dates shown from 2:00-4:30pm. Guests will silently observe Ven. Lama Losang Samten as the mandala is created. At 4:00 pm he will speak to guests to recap the day’s progress and answer questions. Registration is required. The confirmation email will include the Zoom information for these events.
Suggested donation:
CTBC Member & Non-Member=$25.
Provides access to Zoom events on Oct 31, Nov 2, 4, 7, 9, 11, 14, 16, 18, 21 and 23.
Receipt includes the Zoom link for these Zoom events. Minimum $1 donation to receive Zoom link.
November 12 & 19
9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
In-person & Zoom
Ven. Lama Losang Samten will conduct two hands-on, in-person and on Zoom workshops on creating the sacred mandala. Same format for both workshops. Guests are limited to 20. Children to be accompanied by an adult.
Zoom Option! Guests can participate in the workshop virtually via Zoom. Same experience except for applying sand using the Chak-pur.
Suggested donations for each workshop:

Making the Mandala
WORKSHOP
Guhyasamāja Practice
Saturday November 26
9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Eastern
Ven. Lama Losang Samten will lead a practice of Guhyasamāja in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition on Saturday, Nov 26 from 9:00am-12:00pm in person and via Zoom. The practice will include meditation and prayers. He will confer the vows of Refuge and/or the Bodhisattva for those who wish to enter these paths.
Registration is required. The confirmation email will include the Zoom information for this event.

Sunday November 27
12 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Ven. Lama Losang Samten will lead the final dedication for the completion of the Guhyasamāja Mandala on Sunday, Nov 27 from 12:00-1:30pm both in-person and on Zoom. Please note the mandala will not be dismantled at this event.
