About the Event

On Sunday, February 23, 2025, the Gyuto Monastery monks, also called the Upper Tantric College, will be

coming to our center to perform their world renowned chanting. Some of you may have their chanting CDs. The Gyuto monks performed with the American rock band, the Grateful Dead, back in late 1980’s and early 1990’s which was initiated by the drummer of the band, Mickey Hart. The Gyuto Monks also performed right here in Philadelphia.

On February 23 @ 10:00am - 12:00pm, the monks will be chanting the Guhyasamāja Root Text. This is very appropriate as we have a

Guhyasamāja Mandala at the center. We will meditate during their chanting. This is an event not to be missed. It is a wonderful opportunity for accumulating the merit and to purify negative karma. All proceeds will be offered to the monks to support the Gyuto Monastery.
